Tag #27

Adhere decorative paper onto a chipboard tag and brush Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide to the edges.

On two panels of white cardstock, blend picked raspberry Distress Oxide and let dry.  Using Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink stamp the female image (Toybox) and on the other panel stamp the script.  Cut the image into rectangles and then cut the script panel into rectangles slightly bigger than the person image rectangles.  Emphasis all the edges with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink.   Adhere fun foam to the back of each rectangle and then adhere them into three stacks.  Adhere the stacks to the tag.

Tag #20

I created this tag in honor of the inauguration of the United States President Joseph Biden.  The quote is from Amanda Gorman, the poet who spoke at the inauguration.

On a watercolor tag, using the ink smooshing technique apply two colors of distress oxides.  Here I used Blueprint Sketch and Candied Apple.  Let dry.

Stencil lightly versafine ink in Onyx Black.  I used a Tim Holtz Stencil - Lace.

Using versamark ink and white embossing powder, embossed the script stamp from A Stamp In the Hand.

Stamp the quote with Archival Jet Black Ink using connectable letter stamps.  Tear around each word and highlight the edges with the two colors of distress oxides used earlier.  Adhere to the tag.

Splatter with Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust and let dry.

Tag #9

On a watercolor tag, blend Distress Oxide in Wilted Violet on the tag.  Using a star stencil, blend more Wilted Violet Distress Oxide on the take.  Move the stencil and use a wet paper towel to lift some of the ink from the tag.  Move the stencil again and blend more Wilted Violet Distress Oxide onto the tag.  Let dry.

Stamp the image (York Little Art Studio Stamp) three times with Archival Ink in Jet Black.  Embellish with washi tape and Nuvo drops.  Using a vintage label maker print out the quote.

Tag #4

On a watercolor paper tag, stamp bubble wrap with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  Stamp large circles with a toilet paper roll using Salty Ocean Distress Ink.  Stamp small dot with an eraser end of a pencil with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.  Stamp large Crab (Fred B. Mullett) in Candied Apple Distress Oxide and the small Crab (Fred B. Mullett) in Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide.

The distress oxide ink is a hybrid ink so it is more opaque than the distress ink so you have to overstamp with the distress oxide over the distress ink.  The old art technique of skinny over fat.

First Tag of the New Year

This tag was inspired by the new year and the pantone color of 2021 which is Ultimate Gray.

The base is a tag 8 inches by 4 inches of watercolor paper cut into a tag.  I blended Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke over the stage.  I stamped the text stamp (unknown manufacturer) with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.  I stamped the numbers (unknown manufacturer) with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide.  With water downed Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust and then splatter it on the tag.
