Adhere vintage papers to a chipboard tag and let dry.  Dry brush teal acrylic paint on the tag and let dry.  Adhere image of birds to corrugated cardboard and cut out to add height to the image.  Type out words on the label maker and adhere to the tag.  Doodle around the edge with Posca Pens.

 On green colored cardstock stamp female image (Prima Marketing) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Cut out strips of magazine paper and then cut strips to fit around the image.  Adhere strips to the tag.  Outline the tag with a permanent marker.

 On a manila tag stamp the image (RubberMoon) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Using Craypas color around the images and blend.

 Using the stamp masking technique, stamp several different circle stamps in three colors of Archival Ink. The colors are Bubble Gum, Dirty Martini, and Calypso Teal,  Stamp figure with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Adhere Tim Holtz Chit Chat Stamp.  All Stamps are from Dina Wakley

 On watercolor paper, smear three colors of acrylic paint using a paint scrapper.  Let dry.  Stamp female image (RubberMoon) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Adhere strip of vintage music paper and Tim Holtz Chit Chat Stickers to the tag.

 On a watercolor tag, sprinkle brusho and activate with water.  Let dry.  Stamp the images (Carabelle Studio Stamps) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Write the words with a permanent marker.

 Smoosh several colors of ink (Jane Davenport) on a watercolor tag.  Let dry.  Splatter gold watercolor on the tag and let dry.  Stamp the images with Archival Ink Jet Black.  All images are from Dina Wakley.  Adhere washi tape to the bottom edge.  

Tag #28

 On a kraft tag, stamp image (Picket Fence Studios) using Archival Ink Jet Black.  Mask the image.  Using Distress Oxide Ink in Speckled Egg, stencil several different patterns.  All stencils are from Tim Holtz. Adhere sticker.  

Tag #27

Adhere decorative paper onto a chipboard tag and brush Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide to the edges.  

On two panels of white cardstock, blend picked raspberry Distress Oxide and let dry.  Using Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink stamp the female image (Toybox) and on the other panel stamp the script.  Cut the image into rectangles and then cut the script panel into rectangles slightly bigger than the person image rectangles.  Emphasis all the edges with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink.   Adhere fun foam to the back of each rectangle and then adhere them into three stacks.  Adhere the stacks to the tag.

On a watercolor tag, smoosh three colors of Jane Davenport Inks and let dry.  (See below)  Stamp the jellyfish images and text with Archival Ink in Jet Black.  The images are from Fun Stampers Journey.  

 

Tag #23

Paint a watercolor tag with two colors of watercolor paint, lay a used dryer sheet on the tag and let it dry  This will create texture.  (See below)

Using Archival Ink in Shadow Grey, stamp the text stamp on the bottom of the tag.  Stamp the Mona Lisa image and the bird image with Archival Ink Jet Black.  All images are from Tim Holtz.  

Here is the tag after the paint has dried with the dryer sheet on it.  

 

Tag #21

 On a tag made from watercolor paper,  scrape three colors of acrylic paint in a circle.  Let dry.  Stamp the images with Archival Ink Jet Black.  The quote and the group of women stamps are from Viva Las Vegas Stamps. The circle is from Invoke Arts Stamps.

Tag #18

 On a watercolor tag, stamp the floral image from Hero Arts with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Color with watercolor pencils and activate the color with water.  Let dry.  Paint around the image with gold watercolor paint.  Let dry.  

Adhere purple mulberry paper to the tag.  Adhere the bird gold dresden and adhere gold washi tape to the tag.  

Tag #16 and Tissue Paper Resist Technique

Using tissue paper resist technique from below, create a colorful background.  Once it is dry, apply it to a chipboard tag using two-sided tape.  I did this since the watercolor paper I used was very flexible. Stamp the sun (Viva Las Vegas Stamps) and the figure (Dina Wakley) using Archival Ink Jet Black.  Adhere washi tape on the bottom.   

I learned this technique from Tigard Public Library and they provided the basic kit for this technique.  

Ingredients for this technique

watercolor paper

tissue paper (I am not sure if all tissue paper will work.  I heard that art tissue paper will work best)

water

tweezers

white crayon

First, draw a design on watercolor paper with a white crayon.   I drew flowers.  Spray the watercolor paper with water.  Then place pieces of tissue paper on watercolor paper using tweezers. Using tweezers makes the paper easier to place and keeps your fingers clean.    Tap down where necessary.  Spray again with water.  Let the color move on its own.  Let dry.  I let it dry overnight.  Then remove the tissue paper and discard them.

Tag #12

 On a page from National Geographic, stamp the fish head image (Dylusions) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Cover the image with white glue and let dry completely.  Using Nevr-Dull to rub off the ink from the magazine page.  Wipe with a clean paper towel to remove the residue and any leftover ink.  Let dry.  Color a design around the image with Portfolio Water Soluble Oil Pastels.  Let dry.  Adhere to a chipboard tag.  

Tag #11

 On a watercolor tag, stamp the image (Prima Marketing) in Archival Ink Jet Black.  Color the image with Portfolio Water Soluble Oil Pastels and activate with water.  Let dry.  

Tag #10

 

Cover a chipboard tag with a paper towel use to clean up paint and let dry.  Stamp the image (York's Little Art Studio) on a kraft paper.  Tear around the image and adhere to the tag. Adhere ephemera to the tag.  I used vintage dictionary pages, vintage music sheets, and old postage stamps.  I punch some circles from the dictionary page and music page and adhered them to the tag as well.

Tag #9

  On a watercolor tag, blend Distress Oxide in Wilted Violet on the tag.  Using a star stencil, blend more Wilted Violet Distress Oxide on the take.  Move the stencil and use a wet paper towel to lift some of the ink from the tag.  Move the stencil again and blend more Wilted Violet Distress Oxide onto the tag.  Let dry.  

Stamp the image (York Little Art Studio Stamp) three times with Archival Ink in Jet Black.  Embellish with washi tape and Nuvo drops.  Using a vintage label maker print out the quote.  

Tag #8

 

Adhere vintage map onto a chipboard tag.  Using modeling paste, stencil the wave image (Crafter's Workshop) and let dry.  Bump the stencil over a bit from the modeling paste image and stencil blue acrylic paint.  Let dry  

Stamp the words with Archival Ink Jet Black with basic letter stamps(Company unknown)

Tag #7

On a tag base of watercolor paper, smoosh acrylic paint in a sunny yellow and orange.  Let Dry.  Stamp images (Wendy Vecchi) with archival ink in jet black.  Color with Crayola Portfolio Oil Pastels and blend with water.  Let dry.  Dot around the images with a black Posca Pen.  Using two-sided decorative paper weave together to create and embellishment.  Adhere to tag.  Adhere Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker.
