Tag #23

Paint a watercolor tag with two colors of watercolor paint, lay a used dryer sheet on the tag and let it dry  This will create texture.  (See below)

Using Archival Ink in Shadow Grey, stamp the text stamp on the bottom of the tag.  Stamp the Mona Lisa image and the bird image with Archival Ink Jet Black.  All images are from Tim Holtz.

Here is the tag after the paint has dried with the dryer sheet on it.

Tag #14 and Paper Collage

I created this collage in a zoom class organized by Tigard Public Library and Make It Work LA.  There were many themes we could pick and I choose abstract and plants.  Henri Matisse is a favorite artist and this collage has a Matisse feel.

I first painted a piece of watercolor paper with watercolor in a random pattern.  Let that dry.  I cut random shapes out of text weight color paper.  I adhered the shapes to the watercolor paper.  Let dry.

To create the tag, I located an 8-inch by 4-inch section of the collage and made it into the tag for January 14th.
